Investment is like Tapasya
Investment is like Tapasya

Investment is like tapasya. Stocks don’t care whether we hold them or not. Stocks don’t know about noise and news. They only care about earnings. But no one can time stock price movements, and therefore holding becomes the real challenge. As they say – buying is easy, holding is not so easy, selling is tricky, and investing is a test every day.
We are not any jaadugar, but honest and hard-working research analysts who build conviction based on earnings, study, and groundwork. Allocation only helps us protect against big drawdowns and losses in portfolios. Buying ahead of cycle turns gives us a margin of safety.
We also feel left out many times when the world is partying in AI and power stocks without bothering about valuations. But cycles turn, and great businesses that pivot, adapt, and execute well get rewarded with time.
Sab patience aur risk management ka game hai. Investing is simple, but not easy in a world of instant gratification and new themes every day.
Managements also don’t know the real worth of their business. No one knows. Only time and execution teach everyone. Our job is to invest with the best managements, backed by sector tailwinds, and let them do the work even during volatile times.
Kitna paisa ban jayega, we cannot even imagine if we practice these basic and boring styles of investing
Risk management before returns is the mantra.
So keep investing simple, and not something that changes every day despite all the noise. Learn delayed gratification.
