• Short Buildup – 41 Stocks saw increase in OI along with decrease in price indicating short build up. Major ones – NHPC, Radico Khaitan, Force Motor, Hitachi, Phoenix Mills.
• Short Covering – 77 Stocks saw decrease in OI along with increase in price indicating short covering. Major ones – Nuvama, HCL Tech, Siemens, Persistent Systems.

• Nifty rebounded after holding the key support zone of 23,150–23,200. On the upside, the 23,800–24,000 range is expected to act as the immediate resistance area. Bank Nifty also held its important support zone of 52,800–53,000. A sustained move above 54,500 could improve momentum and support further upside.
• Despite India VIX cooling to 15.3%, broader market participation remains muted. Only 40% of Nifty 500 stocks and 43% of Nifty Smallcap 250 stocks are trading above their 20-day SMA, suggesting momentum is yet to broaden out.
